Our Mission

Bamboo is widely recognized around the world for its remarkable ability to grow quickly, making it an excellent alternative to timber harvested from forests. Harvesting timber from bamboo plantations can help reduce the need to cut down forests, particularly in tropical countries with rainforests. By planting more bamboo, we can contribute significantly to preserving existing forests around the globe. Our company is dedicated to promoting the establishment of bamboo plantations to governments and bamboo-based industries. The creation of substantial bamboo plantations can provide abundant raw materials for downstream economic activities while simultaneously preserving the environment and existing forests. Additionally, bamboo can serve as a clean-energy fuel replacement for power plants at lower price per ton compared to coal. It will greatly reduce Malaysia dependence on imported coal and also create great economy for the rural villagers.

What we want to Achieve

Quick Establishment
Selective Harvesting
Green Energy

Bamboo plantations can rapidly establish a forest that can grow up to 10 to 20 meters high in less than 24 months. In contrast, timber species can take anywhere from 5 to 20 years to reach the same level of growth. The clumping nature of tropical bamboo species produces a substantial amount of biomass, which has a higher capacity for carbon absorption from the atmosphere.

Remarkably, bamboo harvested at just three years old can be engineered into timber as hard as hardwood species, whereas trees can take up to 50 years to achieve the same density and hardness. Bamboo is an environmentally friendly solution to meet the demand for timber. Selective harvesting from the same clump ensures that bamboo stands last forever, and the jungle remains even with yearly harvesting.

As a signatory to the Paris Accord, Malaysia is taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint and encouraging investments in the green economy. We believe that investing in bamboo plantations is one way to achieve this goal. Not only do these plantations provide a forest cover for carbon absorption, but they can also be harvested sustainably to provide raw materials for timber and fiber, such as paper.

Malaysia currently imports over 35 million tons of coal annually to power 60% of its power plants. These same plants could be powered by bamboo pellets, reducing both coal imports and carbon emissions. This presents a significant business opportunity. Additionally, Malaysia imports 90% of its animal feeds, and the government is encouraging local production of cereals and plants for national food security. Our company is also exploring opportunities in food crop production.

We are currently in the process of acquiring 10,000 acres (4,000 hectares) of land for bamboo plantation and seeking international funding for this and our other agricultural projects.
